13 Weeks

As you can see, not too much change from last week.

My nausea has almost left me! WOOHOO! Party Time!

But, my appetite has not come back, at all! My little petite Millikins is still eating more than I. And, if you know Millikins you know that is crazy! She doesn't eat practically ANYTHING! (Except for this week. She has been eating a LOT at every meal; ok, it's a lot for her.)

I have my next Dr check up this week on the 8th. It will be just a quick 15 minute appointment to make sure all is well. August 19th we have our next appointment and the ultrasound! We will be finding out what we are having and will let you all know!!

My name changes again

For quite awhile to Millikins I was Mommy

Then for some reason I became Mommy-ill
I really don't know where the ending came from, that's how I would spell her pronunciation. But, seeing as how she was 18 months at the time, she could have been saying something else entirely!
I then became Mommy again for quite awhile.

Lately I have been Mommy Mom, always stated in together.
This only lasted the past week or two.

I am now Momma.

Where did that one come from!?

It should be interesting what other names my daughter comes up with for me in the future, I am expecting a couple of not so nice ones along the way. But, I am hoping that most of them will be kind expressions of affection. I will try as her Momma to promote the affection.

Such excitement

As you know, we announced our pregnancy yesterday.

So how appropriate is it that I really felt the Baby moving last night!

Not only did I feel the Baby boogying in there but Dave was actually able to feel the little one too!
I know many will say we imagined it, that there is no way at 12 weeks we could feel the little one moving. Most times, I agree. But, not last night! I have not felt the Baby move since. And I am not expecting to, since it is still early.

We Think This One Will Stick

I am sure many of you have noticed how sick and distracted I have been.

I am also sure many of you have guessed the cause of it all.

We have been waiting to announce, until I was past the 8 week mark-which has been the
longest I have carried, besides Millikins, that ended in a miscarriage.

My thinking was that if I make it to 9 weeks I am golden.

I am now 12 weeks along and everything is going swell!

I have not been this sick with any of my miscarriages; in fact I wasn't this sick with Millikins either! I thought I had it bad with Millikins, nope!

My due date is January 3, but since I will be a planned c-section it looks like my surgery will be the last week of December. (Great for a tax break, huh!) ;)

Dave thought I was prego with twins, we had an ultrasound done at 10 weeks to check baby's size and to see if there were twins-only one. I admit that I kinda thought there might be twins too, but was scared to death of the thought of that! I just found out that a college roommate of mine just had twins a couple of months ago-what a small world.

I have another blogger friend who is also pregnant right now, in fact we will have very similar due dates from the sound of it. When I was prego with Millikins my Sister-In-Law was prego with me, about 5 weeks behind me. It was so nice to share the experience with another woman. It will be interesting to see how it is following our pregnancies over the internet.

I already have our 20 week ultrasound scheduled for August 19, in TWO months we will find out the sex of our baby, and I will be half way done already. That's a crazy thought.

Here is the belly shot thus far, I already have a little baby bump. We are planning on doing a belly shot every Sunday, and I plan on posting them all here.

Our Drive Home from Spokane

I had a little obsession with taking photos from the car on the way home from Spokane. The sky was so blue, most of the way, the clouds so white a fluffy, the grass so green. So wonderful!

Millikins was trying to hide from the sun, or maybe it was my obsessive camera taking. No, I think it was the sun that was the culprit. I NEVER take too many photos! ;)
Maybe she is telling me to wash her foot? Ok, maybe I was taking a 'few' too many photos in the car on the way home. But, I had to keep myself entertained somehow! :D
Millikins gets carsick, it's just a fact of life. She got sick once on the way to Spokane, thankfully not bad though. On the way home I had a bag for her to hold if she felt sick. She held it about three different times but never did have to use it-thankfully! :D

Coming up next is a big announcement, coming Monday. Check back! :D

Petrified Ginkgo Forest

Onward Christian Soldiers, marching as to war...

Hey, you going my way?

DAVE, LOOK OUT! IT'S RIGHT BEHIND YOU!! It's amazing how these dinosaurs can just sneak up on you

It was amazing that we could even see the tree lines on some of the pieces of 'rock' Such a fun thing to see
Living Ginkgo trees standing next to the big log that I have photographed in the two above photos.
Such a tender moment.

Monday I have a big announcement coming, make sure to stop by! :D

Oh, BTW...we went to Spokane

I guess I need to update the ole blog a little more often! :D We went to Spokane two weekends ago. We went to meet up with a friend, but that didn't work out. So we just hung out and did our thing.

Chillin in the hotel room, she was plastered to the tv cartoons. Every time we would come to the room she wanted to turn the tv back on, I'm so very thankful we don't have cable! Or even a tv anymore. (We do have a computer that we watch DVDs on, so our daughter is not totally deprived. ;) )

Millikins had a thing for her sun hat this trip. This was her nap on Saturday, after we saw the move Up! Such a fun time taking her to see the balloon movie. We decided to take a drive to Idaho while Millikins napped, she fell asleep holding her hat in place. Every time she moved in her sleep she had to make sure her hat was stay on.

See...we went to Idaho! :D We ended up taking a backward way than we planned and ended up doing about an extra 100 miles. Not that Dave minded, he was so excited to be on a road trip.
Wave hello back!

Packing up getting ready to head home Sunday morning. The hat is on and she has her purse, life is good!

She was so proud of herself walking down the hall on her own, and she was very proficient in pushing the elevator buttons. (She pushed all the right buttons, and no buttons she shouldn't push. Such a good girl, not that she didn't TRY to push the fancy bright red button.)

After we packed up the hotel room we ended up grabbing some Golden Arches breakfast and went to a local park to let Millikins get some steam out of her system before we started the drive back home.

I have many more photos of the park and the drive home. I'm going to post those tomorrow.

We did nothing of consequence on our trip and had a great time!

Mark Twain Quote

Mark Twain stated, "As an active privilege, free speech ranks with the privilege of committing murder: we may exercise it if we are willing to take the consequences."  (The Privilege of the Grave.)
